Pioneer Label Merlot 2005
This wine is labeled under the special Pioneer Label first used by Peter Britt in the 1800’s and resurrected by our father Frank in 1976 for the first few vintages at the “new” Valley View. It represents the 30 year anniversary of our winery and will be a collector’s item especially since only 160 cases were produced.

Anna Maria Late Harvest Pinot Gris 2008
The grapes for this Pinot Gris were grown at Big Bear vineyard in the hills above Jacksonville. After harvest we froze the grapes and pressed them while frozen which resulted in an intensely flavored sweet wine with flavors of apricot, mango and honey. This is a nicely balanced wine with great acidity that keeps your interest through out dessert. Not just another sweet wine. |

Roussanne 2008
This is the first Roussanne ever made by Valley View! This Rhone Valley dry white is a close cousin to Viognier. Estate grown, our Roussanne is deeply concentrated with flavors of minerals, white peaches, melons, and a touch of vanilla. It will continue to improve for the next 1-4 years. Very limited, only 140 cases produced!

Anna Maria Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
The first Anna Maria Cab since the famous 03 vintage…and this wine is every bit as good! Loaded with classis Cab flavors of black currants, fresh herbs, blackberries and plums. Still young, this full-bodied red will greatly reward from a year of bottle age and should continue to improve until at least 2014.

Anna Maria Applegate Valley Tempranillo 2006
The fruit from this wine is estate grown from our vineyard in the Applegate Valley. The 2006 vintage was a warm year that created wines that are soft and drinkable but not heavy on tannins. Bright flavors of red plums and raspberry are balanced with toasty oak to create a smooth and enjoyable wine.

Anna Maria Claret 2005
The 2005 Claret is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine clearly was better than any of the individual components... it is amazingly enjoyable now but we are confident it will be even better in year or so.

Anna Maria Port 2008
This blend of Merlot and Tempranillo features flavors of ripe plum, vanilla, black cherry and a touch of cocoa in the finish. Enjoy a small glass at the end of dinner with family and friends- and contemplate that even in these uncertain and challenging times, we still have plenty of reasons to be thankful. |
