2003 Anna Maria Claret
The term Claret is an old English word for a Bordeaux blend. It was first used in Oregon by Peter Britt's Valley View Winery back in the 1800's. We are pleased to reintroduce the term after a century lapse with a wonderful red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine is perfectly balanced with lots of ripe fruit flavors of black cherry, blackberries and plum and a nice touch of herbs and vanilla. It has medium tannins and should continue to improve over the next 1-3 years.
